Szent-Györgyi Fellowship

The aim of the fellowship is to enable Hungarian or foreign researchers living outside Hungary on a permanent basis to contribute to scientific work carried out in Hungarian institutions of higher education.

Aim: The aim of the fellowship is to enable Hungarian or foreign researchers living outside Hungary on a permanent basis to contribute to scientific work carried out in Hungarian institutions of higher education.
Profile of the researcher: Eligible researchers will hold a PhD (or equivalent) or DLA and can be of all nationalities. The primary criterion of the Fellowship is the existence of internationally acknowledged research results.
Profile of the host: Institutions of higher education or research institutes established and located in Hungary.
Duration of the fellowship: max. 12 months (with the possibility of re-application)
Number of fellowships: approx. 10 per year, submission date: once a year (in spring)
Expenses covered:
- fellowship of the researcher: monthly allowance of HUF 1 000 000 (= $ 4424)(gross amount) + travel allowance;
- contribution to the expenses of the host: HUF 1 000 000-2 000 000 (= $ 4424 - 8848) per year.
