European Young Investigator (EURY) Awards for Hungary

The aim of these awards will be to enable and encourage outstanding young researchers from all over the world, to work in a European environment for the benefit of the development of European science and the building up of the next generation of leading European researchers.

Aim: The aim of these awards will be to enable and encourage outstanding young researchers from all over the world, to work in a European environment for the benefit of the development of European science and the building up of the next generation of leading European researchers.
Profile of the researcher: Applicants must have between two and ten years of post-doctoral experience, an excellent track record and the potential to become an internationally leading scientist in their area. They can be of all nationalities.
Profile of the host: Institutions of higher education or research institutes established and located in Hungary.
Duration of the fellowship: up to 5 years
Number of fellowships: approx. 2, next deadline: 15 December 2003.
Expenses covered:
- fellowship of the researcher: between E 150 000-250 000 (= $171 239 - 285398) per year.
