General information - International individual fellowships
|
All individual fellowships are open to experienced researchers, i.e. those who have at least 4 years of active research experience or have obtained a doctoral degree. Some of them are also open to early-stage researchers i.e. those who have less than 4 years of research experience and do not have a doctoral degree.
The research topic is freely chosen by the researcher, there is no restriction.
The researcher prepares his/her proposal together with his/her host institution and submits it to the European Commission. The host institution can be legal entities established in EU Member States or Associated States (e.g. Hungary). The Commission selects the proposal and signs the contract with the host - not with the researcher. The selected fellow signs an agreement with the host.
International individual fellowships for citizens of both the US and Hungary
