Survey Results: A Network for European Researchers in the US (ERA-LINK)
Representation of the EU Commission •
European researchers in the US have given a resounding YES to the European Commission?s proposal to create a network for them and about them. Almost 2,000 researchers responded to the survey, including researchers from all European Union countries, working in 49 of the 50 US States, from the private and the public sector.
The network will enable researchers to maintain links with Europe and between one another. It will provide information on policy developments, research co-operation and career opportunities in Europe.
The European Commission, in collaboration with the EU Member States, is now preparing the next phase of the project: the design and technical specifications of the electronic network itself. It is expected that ERA-Link will be operational by the Fall of 2005.
